Cool French Comics– slightly outdated (last updated  Oct. 2011) but very useful timeline of the development of BD as well as a list of featured characters.

Comics Research.org-Site comprising comprehensive bibliography of writing about bande dessinée and international comic art. A detailed content description is provided for most works together with a critical review. A particularly helpful section provides bibliographic references for specific BD genres – crime, horror etc. Also includes a blog listing funding opportunities/calls for papers/conferences.

COMIXSCHOLARS Listserv –   Serves as an academic forum for those involved in research, criticism and teaching related to comics art.
